Join us for Imagination Stage’s 2008-2009 Professional Apprenticeship Program. The program offers a 10-month to one-year contract designed to equip a select group of outstanding candidates with intensive hands-on experience needed to lead the professional theatre world of Washington, DC and beyond.
Imagination Stage Hires 2006-07 Professional Apprentices (Press Release, June 2006)
Imagination Stage Apprentices will perform as:
-Board operators and deck captains for professional and student theatre productions.
-Assistant theatre-artist educators.
-Box office, front of house, and reception associates
-Stage managers for student productions.
-Participants in department meetings, including Executive Staff and Board of Trustees Meetings.
-Assistant supervisors for Opening Night receptions, Board Meetings, the annual Gala, and other special events.
-Mentors for Arts Access and Deaf Access students.
-Build, load in, & strike crew for all productions.

Applicants must be graduating from an undergraduate program by spring of 2008, or have graduated within the last two years to be considered. A pro-active spirit, passion for excellence, and a great sense of humor strongly desired. An excitement about life-long learning required.
Deadline for applications is April 2, 2009.
Offers will be made June 2009.
All apprenticeships begin in September and are contracted for 10-months with a possible 2-month extension based on work performance and availability of positions.
Compensation is $1400/month plus benefits, including full healthcare coverage and a monthly transportation allowance.
