The Education Associate works closely with the Director of Education, as well as the entire Education Team in order to grow new initiatives and educational partnerships in Montgomery County and the District of Columbia. The Master Electrician is responsible for the implementation of all lighting, sound & projections designs in the professional and student theatres, including but not limited to the ordering of necessary materials and supervision of all crews for hang & focus calls as well as assist the sound and projection designer in the set up and maintenance of those systems. Apprentice and Volunteer Coordinator
The Apprentice and Volunteer Coordinator works with every department at Imagination Stage to engage the Professional Apprentice Team, volunteers, and interns. This includes recruiting, training, mentoring, and coordinating schedules for all apprentices and recruiting, placement, orientation, and coordinating schedules for interns and volunteers across the organization. Part Time Opportunities
Early Childhood Teachers for Arts Integration Residency 2016-2017
Imagination Stage is looking for experienced early childhood teachers for a pre-school arts integration residency in Washington DC for 3 and 4 year old children. Applicants should demonstrate a vested interest in young children and the arts. We will provide on-site training to familiarize successful applicants with our teaching philosophy and methods and provide guidance with curriculum and lesson planning. This is a 30-week commitment starting in late August that will have a total of 5 teaching hours per week, Monday-Friday. For more information including how to apply, click here.
Patron Services Associates
Imagination Stage is seeking dynamic and detailed-oriented individuals to work up to 25 hours per week in our Patron Services Department. This position will be a job share with the majority of its workload coming from work as a Registrar but will have other duties as a Box Office Associate assisting with ticket and subscription sales. Imagination Stage, an exciting and inspiring regional not-for-profit professional children's theatre and arts education organization is looking for friendly Weekend Sales Associates to assist patrons in our Just Imagine gift-shop. Imagination Stage hires a select number of unpaid interns every semester. Tasks are based on the intern’s strengths and organizational needs. These may include assisting with mailings, filing, data entry, creating supplies for classes, working in the box office, or gift shop.
Those interested in applying to intern at Imagination Stage must meet the following criteria:
- be at least 15 years old
- completing the internship for school credit
- willing to contribute at least two hours of work per week
- able to work over the course of a full semester (or full summer holiday)
- A cover letter specifying your interest in theatre and what you would like to learn from an internship with Imagination Stage.
- A resume or letter of reference
