Full Time Opportunities

 Group Sales Coordinator

This position is an independent and supportive position for the Patron Services department, Marketing and Communications department, and box office. While the mission of the group sales department is generally separate from the box office, it is instrumental to the Patron Services and Marketing and Communications departments. The position is primarily responsible for actively courting potential groups, as well as accepting and maintaining inbound requests to attend performances in both the Lerner and Reeve Theatres. Responsibilities include promoting, selling, and booking all group sales to meet the stated annual revenue goals, researching and cultivating relationships with school and non-school group leaders, working with house management staff to meet groups upon arrival, enforcing payment policies, troubleshooting customer issues, maintaining updated group contact lists, and creating group sales reports for the Marketing and Communications department.  For more information, including how to apply, click here.

Part Time Opportunities

Early Childhood Teachers for Arts Integration Residency 2016-2017

Imagination Stage is looking for experienced early childhood teachers for a pre-school arts integration residency in Washington DC for 3 and 4 year old children. Applicants should demonstrate a vested interest in young children and the arts. We will provide on-site training to familiarize successful applicants with our teaching philosophy and methods and provide guidance with curriculum and lesson planning. This is a 30-week commitment starting in late August that will have a total of 5 teaching hours per week, Monday-Friday. For more information including how to apply, click here.

 

Patron Services Associates
Imagination Stage is seeking dynamic and detailed-oriented individuals to work up to 25 hours per week in our Patron Services Department. This position will be a job share with the majority of its workload coming from work as a Registrar but will have other duties as a Box Office Associate assisting with ticket and subscription sales. Receptionist

The Receptionist is responsible for supplying information regarding the organization to the general public, attending to visitors and dealing with inquiries on the phone and face-to-face. Weekend Sales Associates

Imagination Stage, an exciting and inspiring regional not-for-profit professional children's theatre and arts education organization is looking for friendly Weekend Sales Associates to assist patrons in our Just Imagine gift-shop. Imagination Stage is looking for friendly and responsible paid ushers in our professional theatre. Inclusion Facilitators

Internships

Imagination Stage hires a select number of unpaid interns every semester.  Tasks are based on the intern’s strengths and organizational needs.  These may include assisting with mailings, filing, data entry, creating supplies for classes, working in the box office, or gift shop. 

Those interested in applying to intern at Imagination Stage must meet the following criteria:

  • be at least 15 years old
  • completing the internship for school credit
  • willing to contribute at least two hours of work per week
  • able to work over the course of a full semester (or full summer holiday)

Imagination Stage is an SSL approved organization. Students ages 15 and up can earn community service hours by volunteering at Imagination Stage.

Auditions 

Imagination Stage operates under an Actors Equity Theatre for Young Audiences contract and does not participate in the Equity Membership Candidate program. We hire Equity and Non-Equity actors who are 18 years and older. If we are in need of an actor who is under the age of 18 this information will be clearly stated on all casting materials.

Equity Principal Auditions for 2016/2017 Season will be held on Thursday, February 18 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. To schedule an appointment please email us at This email address is being protected from spambots.
