MUSICAL PRODUCTION CAMP, JR
Rising Grades 2-4

BETHESDA LOCATION

Perform in a play at Imagination Stage! Under the guidance of our highly skilled teaching artists, campers learn valuable theatre arts skills in acting, singing, movement, and production design, all while rehearsing a production. Camp runs Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. with before and after-care options available. Campers provide their own lunch. 

Campers share their final performance wiith family and friends onstage in Imagination Stage's Christopher and Dana Reeve Studio Theatre during the final Friday camp day of each session.

MUSICAL PRODUCTION CAMP, SR
Rising Grades 5-9

ROCKVILLE LOCATION
Charles E Smith Jewish Day School, 11710 Hunters Lane, Rockville, MD.

Training and performance, all in one camp! Working with professional directors, choreographers, and music directors from the DC Metro Theatre community, young artists experience intensive training to understand the actor's process from auditions, to the creation of believable and sustainable characters, to the final performance. Campers work on their acting, vocal, and dance skills which they then apply directly to the rehearsal of a fully produced book musical. The final performance is held during the last Wednesday or Thursday of camp at 7:30 p.m. 

Camp runs Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. -4:00 p.m. with Before and After Care options available. Campers provide their own lunch. Note: CESJDS is a vegetarian facility; all lunches must be meat-free with the exception of some fish options.

Once Upon a Mattress 
July 18-August 12, 2016 (4 weeks)
Performance: August 10 and 11

MUSICAL SHOWCASE 

Rising Grades 6-10
ROCKVILLE LOCATION
Charles E Smith Jewish Day School, 11710 Hunters Lane, Rockville, MD.

Broadway Through the Ages
July 18 – July 29, 2016 (2 weeks) | Performance: July 28

The Musical Showcase brings campers together to collaborate on a showcase of the best classic and contemporary Broadway musical numbers. Campers work on their acting, vocal, and dance skills, which they can then apply to rehearsals with their professional directors and choreographers. Camp runs Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. with Before and After Care options available. Campers provide their own lunch. Note: CESJDS is a vegetarian facility; all lunches must be meat-free with the exception of some fish options.

Registered families: We facilitate carpools for students in our production camps by compiling lists of interested families, helping make transportation to and from camp easier. 

 

SUMMER PRODUCTION CAMP, TEENS
Rising Grades 9-12
BETHESDA LOCATION

NEW this SummerMetamorphoses
June 20-July 1, 2016 | 1:00-7:30
High school actors rehearse and perform the Tony-Award winning play Metamorphoses by Mary Zimmerman. Based on Ovid's transformation myths, the play subtly mixes the ancient stories of pathos and tragedy with contemporary language and humor, exploring themes of love, the inevitability of change, and the human ability to adapt to change are timeless.
