MUSICAL SHOWCASE
Rising Grades 6-10

ROCKVILLE LOCATION
Charles E Smith Jewish Day School, 11710 Hunters Lane, Rockville, MD.

The Musical Showcase brings campers together to collaborate on a showcase of the best classic and contemporary Broadway musical numbers. Campers work on their acting, vocal, and dance skills, which they can then apply to rehearsals with their professional directors and choreographers. The session title provides a theme that the performers and artistic staff use to envision an original Showcase performance that is devised, rehearsed, and performed within the two weeks of camp. The final performance is held on the last Thursday of the camp session at 7:30 p.m.

Camp runs Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. with Before and After Care options available. Campers provide their own lunch. Note: CESJDS is a vegetarian facility; all lunches must be meat-free with the exception of some fish options.

Musical Theatre Pop
July 13 – July 24, 2015 (2 weeks) | Performance: July 23
During this two-week camp, campers work with teaching artists to select musical numbers from this genre to put together an original musical revue! Campers refine their skills in acting technique and dance, as well as learn healthy and sustainable ways to produce a pop vocal style while still caring for their young developing voices.

Interested in carpooling to camps at Imagination Stage and our Rockville Campus?
We facilitate carpools by compiling lists of interested families, helping make transportation to and from camp easier! We currently have students registered who live in Bethesda, Silver Spring, Olney, Gaithersburg, and DC. Carpools help campers (and parents!) make new friends, ease transportation time, and help us all go GREEN!

Camp runs Monday-Friday from 9:30-4:00 with Before and After Care options available.
