WINTER BREAK ARTS BLAST
Bring Summertime fun to the dreariness of December! Imagination Stage offers jam-packed days of creative drama, acting, dance, visual art, and specialty classes, to enjoy during students’ days off of school (and help working parents while school is on break).
The camp day is broken up into 1-1/2 hour long sections that span a variety of topics. Past sessions have included topics in Creative Drama/Acting, Production, Improvisation, Stage Combat, Directing, Musical Theatre, Dialects, and Acting for the Camera. Session topics are set based on teaching artist availability and will be determined mid to late Fall.
Camps are divided by grade level:
• Ages 3.5-5
Morning sessions are offered from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. for ages 3.5-5 and 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. for grades K-5.
*NEW FOR TEENS! This year, Imagination Stage will hose The Play Off! Modeled after popular 24-hour play festivals, teams of students will be given a prop, a genre, and a line of dialogue that they must use to inspire an original 10-minute play. Teams will assign a playwright, director, and actors to realize their entry into this competition. Performances will take place on January 2 at 7:30 p.m. Teams can consist of 7-12 graders.
