Imagination Stage offers its filmmaking program in an intensive summer camp environment. Emphasis is placed on the fundamentals and process of filmmaking: story analysis; pre-production techniques, composition and cinematography, editing and sound. Professional films are screened and analyzed while campers begin to create their own aesthetic.
Young filmmakers who have participated in previous Imagination Stage film camps and/or classes are paired with filmmakers of comparable experience in advanced teams to reach the next level of their education in the craft of film. Participants in this program are eligible for advancement in Intermediate and Advanced filmmaking classes in the fall semester.
