Bethesda, MD, March 9, 2009 - Imagination Stage, the region's leading theatre dedicated to children, and Whole Foods Market are teaming up for a day to support children's theatre and theatre education.
On Wednesday, April 1, 2009, Whole Foods Market will donate 5% of their entire sales from the store at 5269 River Road in Bethesda to Imagination Stage, a locally-grown not-for-profit organization that offers professional theatre and theatre education for children ages 1 to 18.
Throughout the day, members of the Imagination Stage community, including students and faculty, will be providing entertainment in different locations in the store. Storytelling, face painting, musical numbers, student-created films and even some 'Celebrity Baggers' will be the highlight of the day.
As the day progresses, each purchase will count toward the end goal. Imagination Stage stands to receive several thousand dollars but only with the help of the community. Supporters and customers are urged to take this opportunity not only to buy the groceries they need, but also to stock up on things such as shelf-stable products and frozen foods that they can use in the future. Together, residents of the region and Whole Foods will help Imagination Stage continue to bring 'serious fun' to children and families in the Washington metro area.
